Golfers are catered for at very reasonable prices on our local well-maintained Golf Course which must surely be one of the most picturesque in Scotland.

Or you can try your hand at sea angling. Watersports facilities are also available locally.

Badachro itself is a popular anchorage for yachts.

Fishermen too will never get bored here - thanks to the myriad of lochs, lochans and rivers. Permits are easily available.

Gairloch Pony Trekking Centre is one of the area's more recent and successful ventures. It caters for all abilities who wish to explore the countryside on horseback.

Enjoy many and varied walks from easy rambles to the more strenuous high level climbs. Wester Ross has them all. Information about the more popular ones is provided in our welcome pack. We can offer further advice on request.

The area abounds in safe, sandy beaches which are ideal for family picnics, shell gathering, rock pooling and swimming on warm days.

While in the area, you mustn't miss the opportunity to visit Inverewe Garden overlooking Poolewe (pictured above). Home to plants from all over the world, this National Trust property is open all year round.

Badachro is an ideal centre for touring the striking unspoilt areas of Wester Ross and Sutherland including the North Coast 500 route which is becoming increasingly popular.
Day trips can also easily be made to the Isle of Skye and Eilean Donan Castle, as well as scenic west coast villages such as Plockton, Shieldaig and Torridon.
